Freelancing is just too good

Freelancing isn’t just about working from home. It’s about the freedom to work anywhere.

In the 10+ years that I’ve been freelancing, I’ve been able to travel to many places in the world including America, Spain, Asia and Australia. Freelancing allows me to take my office wherever I go and be accessible to my clients when they need. Not only does it help me curate that life I want, it also allows for my clients to have the freedom to explore their own business personality without the cost of an advertising agency.

On top of  providing me with the lifestyle to travel, frelaunching has allowed me to be a better parent. I have been able to be there for my child in his early years and even to home educate while working. A few years ago I took my son travelling across Australia in a caravan while learning on the road. Due to freelancing we were able to live comfortably while exploring this great world and he experienced things that most kids can’t imagine.

It has also allowed me to explore my creativity to its full extent. Because I set my own hours, I am able to dedicate time to painting and balance graphic design with fine art. It’s the perfect choice for those who need flexibility and freedom, yet love to devote their skills to practical uses.

I often get asked if I could work a 9-5 job. Honestly after experiencing the benefits of freelancing I don’t think I could. Freelancing is just too good!

How do I manage to keep freelancing? I have joined sites like freelancer.com, upwork and am interested in joining the Toptal Freelance Visual Designers team soon. I hope to see you there or on the road.
